Layered Together Gallery Exhibition

Layered Together Gallery Exhibition

The Gallery at WREN is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition Layered Together. This intergenerational display showcases the intertwined artistic journeys of mother and daughter Beth Simon and Ana Koehler.

The exhibition will be on display from Friday, August 30, through Sunday, October 27, at the Gallery at WREN, 2011 Main Street in Bethlehem. An opening reception will be held on Friday, August 30, from 5-7 pm, providing the public an opportunity to tour the exhibit and meet the artists.

Layered Together is a complement to WREN’s 30th anniversary, as both artists have a long association with WREN. Beth was in the first group of WREN graduates in 1994, and Ana was a participant in the original WINGS program.

This collection encompasses a lifetime of artistic exploration and features Beth’s distinctive crafted jewelry alongside Ana’s evocative paintings of the female form.
Viewers will observe Beth's evolution from early creative sparks to established metal artist, and Ana's consistent journey of exploring the complexities of Women as Aesthetic Objects through paint, markers, pen. The exhibition will not only feature individual works created throughout their lives and into their current practices, but also a captivating collection of collaborative wearable art pieces.

Layered Together offers a unique opportunity to explore the undeniable influence of their familial bond. This exhibition transcends personal history, becoming a celebration of artistic growth and the enduring power of women's creativity. Both Beth and Ana embody
the spirit of WREN - women who have pursued their creative passions throughout their lives.
“WREN is honored to host Layered Together,” says Executive Director Pam Sullivan. “As we celebrate WREN’s 30th anniversary, our hearts are full of appreciation for the WREN members who are part of our rich history.”
The Gallery at WREN is open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
